Glenn E.
Herman
is a pioneer with over 15 years of experience in the fields of
online entertainment, computer integration and program
management. His experience spans pre to post World Wide Web. Mr.
Herman is widely regarded as the original implementer of an
integrated shopping mall, online celebrity chat, behind the
scenes tour diaries of rock stars, as well as creating the first
WWW communities of interest in 1995. He later leveraged the
same early communities and the first shopping mall by blending
e-commerce opportunities and the community specific content. Mr.
Herman was also one of the first people to use a combination of
wireless LANs and Realaudio streaming servers to present the
entire Free Tibet Concert to the WWW from San Francisco’s Golden
Gate Park in 1996.
Mr. Herman is
currently the CEO and Co-Founder of
Five
Point Networks, Inc., a company that intends to build the
first "Web 3.0"
public
communications platform.
Mr. Herman
has held senior positions at IBM, Cox Communications, Prodigy
Services and the City University of New York. He has built and
led many large delivery organizations and he has managed total
lifecycle process on hundreds of web portals, e-commerce sites
and content hubs. Mr. Herman has also guided the executive
policies for such entities as The NFL, Footlocker, The United
States Mint, The Department of Commerce, The US Office of
Personnel Management, American Express, Amazon.com, Hunter
College and CUNY Headquarters. |
